WELCOME

We are a local music teachers association affiliated with the ISMTA and the MTNA. 

GAEMTA is open to music educators in the Southwest Illinois area. Membership includes professional teachers of piano, voice, organ, and accordion plus other music educators from the St. Louis and Metro-East areas. On behalf of its members, MTNA provides a collective voice for the music teaching profession. Membership from local to national levels offers:

• Student evaluations through the "Achievement in Music" program

• The opportunity to share with and learn from the most knowledgeable experts in music education

• Opportunities for continuing education
